The Architectural Association (AA) holds several exhibitions throughout the year in the AA Gallery, Front Members' Room, the AA Bar and at Montague Street. All of the AA's exhibitions are open to the public and are curated by the AA Public Programme to cover a wide range of topics including, but not limited to, architecture, history, community, construction, nature and the environment. The AA Gallery is located on the ground floor of 36 Bedford Square, it is a versatile and accessible space that hosts several exhibitions a year, while the AA Front Members' Room is often a space displaying the work of students, staff and alumni.

As you face towards the front entrance of the Architectural Association School of Architecture, and imagine that you keep walking and walking in a straight line, you will cross paths with the AA Hooke Park campus, the Amazon delta on the other side of the ocean, Chile, New Zealand, the Australian outback, the Philippines, China, Mongolia, Russia, and all the way back here to Bedford Square again. The landscapes along this line from around the planet are projected onto a single World, with the flowers from Hooke Park sweeping across its land. Around the World is where all our students are right now.
The large tableau, displayed in front of the AA buildings in July is an alternative group graduation image which we normally take on the steps of our home at No. 36 Bedford Square. This collective graduation image brings together 379 graduating students from across the AA Experimental, Diploma and Post-Graduate programmes. In the tableau, they are together, if not physically yet, roaming around the World. None of us quite imagined that this would be what 2020 looks like. But the World will return, now with all of the AA graduates out there to make a difference, where they are needed like never before. Until we meet again elsewhere.
The graduation tableau has been designed by John Ng, First Year Tutor. The was displayed on the AA buildings from 3 - 31 July.
