Architect and director, Clementine Blakemore has been selected as a 2023 RIBA Journal Rising Star. Clementine was selected from a shortlist of an ambitious generation, building on retrofit skills, rethinking architectural visualisation and opening up knowledge on low carbon buildings and materials, according to the RIBA Journal. Clementine Blakemore Architects is a London-based practice committed to producing buildings that are inventive and inclusive. They work towards projects which have a positive impact on both the community and environment, and enjoy making architecture rooted in place and shaped by context, in terms of local materials, climate and craftsmanship.
Clementine studied in the Intermediate Programme at the AA between 2010–12 and was the director of an AA Visiting School between 2012–17. She founded her own practice in 2016. To read the full article in the RIBA Journal, click here.
