Historian and writer David Olusoga tells the story of London’s Covent Garden Piazza in the BBC documentary, The People’s Piazza: A History of Covent Garden. AA Alum James (Jim) Monahan features prominently, campaigning against proposals to demolish Covent Garden market in historic footage as well as in present-day interviews. Monahan graduated from the AA in 1973, a year before the closure of Covent Garden’s market.

The documentary is 88 mins and is available on BBC iPlayer here until 13 November.
