AA Alum Yuyang (Summer) Cheng’s immersive and multi-sensory AAIS graduation project Floating Life: Untamed (山海浮生: 在野) has been officially selected for the 2022–23 Edinburgh Fringe Festival and will showcase at the 2023 London Design Festival as part of the programme On Purple: The Purpose of Hue. The performance combines contemporary dance, media and poetry to explore the body as a unique medium that inhabits urban space, landscape and the spiritual world. Cheng’s performance has previously been part of the London New Wave Film Festival 2022 and was officially selected by the Berlin Shorts Award 2022.

The performance will take place at the LDC Gallery on 16–18 September at the London Design Festival 2023, tickets can be purchased here, and at the Paradise in Augustines on 27 August at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival 2022–23, tickets can be purchased here.
