AA alumna and former Visiting School tutor Julia Koerner’s clutch bag, Kelp Mini, last week featured at the MQ Vienna Fashion Week.

Koerner’s initial design HY CLUTCH, inspired by the structure and performance of natural hymenium topologies found in mushrooms, was named an Innovative Product by the prestigious Red Dot Product Design Award in 2021.

Kelp Mini was HY CLUTCH’s successor and is also inspired by natural kelp structures found along the Pacific coast which Koerner herself 3D-scanned.
