Several members of the AA community have been recognised in the Queen's Birthday Honours lists for 2021 in acknowledgement of their significant contributions to architecture in the UK.
Architect, academic and author Sumita Singha, who is an examiner for the AA Professional Practice Programme and founder of the design practice Ecologic, was awarded an OBE in recognition of her services to architecture. Former Honorary AA Secretary and AA Council member Peter Murray, who graduated from the AA in 1967 and is currently Curator-In-Chief of New London Architecture (NLA), was awarded an OBE for his services to leadership in the arts, architecture, city planning, design, publication and charity. Architect, critic and historian Kenneth Frampton, who is an AA alumnus, former tutor and honorary AA member, received a CBE for his services to architecture.
