AA alumni Jingru (Cyan) Cheng and Chen Zhan have been awarded the Graham Foundation research grant for the project RIPPLE RIPPLE RIPPLING.
The Graham Foundation for Advanced Studies in the Fine Arts fosters the development and exchange of diverse and challenging ideas about architecture and its role in the arts, culture and society.
RIPPLE RIPPLE RIPPLING thinks with an alternative frame of mind rooted in precarity. At the core of the project lies a transdisciplinary framework – at the intersection of architecture, anthropology, performance and filmmaking – that investigates the everyday practice of the dissolved household in contemporary rural China.
