AA Programme Head of Emergent Technologies and Design (EmTech), Milad Showkatbakhsh, has received the Technology, Architecture and Design (TAD) Research Contribution Award as part of the Association of Collegiate Schools of Architecture (ACSA) for a paper that was co-authored with Mohammed Makke and Diego Navarro-Mateu.

The research explores the role of genetics in designing and presenting architectural projects; bringing in knowledge from biology, evolution and evolutionary development to inform how we design and represent the architectural world.
