AA tutor Nerma Cridge co-presented a paper titled 'Counter Representation' – co-authored with Peter Šenk from The University of Maribor, Slovenia – on Friday 30 January as part of the CriticAll Conference in Turin, Italy. The paper explores the methodologies, content, focal points and modes of expression employed in a selection of contemporary gallery and museum projects. Through examples including the Endless House by Frederick Kiesler and the central part of the National Gallery in Ljubljana, Cridge and Šenk question how an obsession with images could be distilled to better understand transient city environments which offer intimate interior experience amid the oversaturation of the visual.
