​AA tutor Nerma Cridge publishes essay in Remote Practices

AA tutor Nerma Cridge has been had her essay, Extreme Interiority, published in Remote Practices: Architecture at a Distance.

Extreme Interiority argues that by researching and designing for extreme environments we can not only create better prototypes for outer space exploration but also for periods of forced isolation in small, confined spaces such as during the pandemic.

Cridge’s essay is dedicated to Mark Cousins and features the work of Hugh Broughton, Saga Space Architects, Ella Good and Nicki Kent. The essay and the research behind it also helped to from the basis for the Extreme Environments symposium held at the AA earlier this year.
