Clara Oloriz Sanjuan, AA Landscape and Urbanism and AA Metropolitan Landscapes Visting School tutor and Ground Lab Cohead, has been awarded a grant through the RIBA Research Fund for her research project ‘Landed Community Kitchens: Architecture for Just Climate, Care and Food Systems’.
The fund provides grants to individuals conducting independent architectural research at any stage of their careers, whether in practice or academia. Clara's action-research aims to engage architects and policy designers in Landed Community Kitchen co-design to amplify community agency through spatial and material intelligence. It investigates how architectural systems and typological thinking can connect and scale LCKs through knowledge, research and advocacy support while exploring their potential to critically rethink urban and landscape design from a social reproduction and food systems perspective.
