AA Projective Cities Programme Cohead, Academic Committee Chair and Diploma 7 Unit Tutor Hamed Khosravi has received the prestigious 2024 Colvin Prize from the Society of Architectural Historians of Great Britain (SAHGB).
Khosravi’s book Do You Remember How Perfect Everything Was? The Work of Zoe Zenghelis, published by AA Publications in 2022, was awarded for the richness of its content and its carefully assembled mix of image and text. The panel recommended the book for its documentation and celebration of an overlooked and significant practitioner in recent architectural history. Likewise, it draws attention to, and acknowledges, an under-appreciated mode of practice in its focus on Zenghelis’s use of painting and drawing. Finally, the panel commended the book for its accessibility to a wide audience, especially among future practitioners.
The Colvin Prize is awarded annually to the author or authors of an outstanding work of reference that relates to the field of architectural history, broadly conceived. To read more about the 2024 SAHGB award winners, click here.
