AA Design and Make Tutors and Hooke Park Co-ordinators Kate Davies and Emmanuel Vercruysse have been invited to speak about the Field Station at the designTimber webinar series following the project's receipt of the Research and Innovation Award in last year’s Wood Awards.
The Field Station pavilion was developed by students of the AA’s Design and Make postgraduate programme in partnership with ARUP. The woodland pavilion has been awarded for its ability to show how advanced manufacturing technology can be harmonised with natural, irregular material to create scalable architectural solutions. Alongside Kate and Emmanuel, the AA graduate students Garrett Nelli and Romain Odin Lepoutre, will be joined by ARUP engineers Francis Archer and Adam Plavsic to discuss the development of the project.
The seminar will take place online, from 1–2pm BST on Wednesday 12 June. The event is free to attend and to find out more, click here.
