Madelon Vriesendorp is awarded the Soane Medal 2025

Former AA tutor and OMA cofounder Madelon Vriesendorp has been awarded the 2025 Soane Medal for Architecture. Vriesendorp, who was awarded the AA Honorary Diploma in 2017 and has taught extensively at the school, will be presented with her award in a ceremony at the Royal Academy in London in November at which she will also deliver a lecture. The Soane Medal was established in 2017 and recognises architects, educators and critics who have made a major contribution to their field and have furthered and enriched the public understanding of architecture.
