Open Call for Submissions to Present Work or Research at the AA Media-Architecture Forums 2026

The AA invites proposals from architects, artists, filmmakers, designers, writers and researchers, as well as institutions, publishers, producers and practices, to present work or research within the Media-Architecture Forums taking place at the school in 2026. Part of the AA Visiting School, these Forums are a series of small-cohort gatherings exploring how architecture is made public through time-based media, printed and digital platforms, books, exhibitions and objects. Held at the AA in London, with an offshoot in collaboration with the British School at Rome, the Forums will bring together compelling voices across the field – architects, artists, filmmakers, editors, curators, designers and researchers – invested in this area of architectural thought and practice. The 2026 schedule includes four Forums:

• Publishing-Architecture Forum, 31 July–4 August 2026, London (books, magazines, digital platforms, exhibitions)
• Film-Architecture Forum, 24–28 July, London (film, storytelling, the capture of emotional and physical space)
• Design-Architecture Forum, 14–18 August, London (objects, materials, crafted and hands-on experimentation)
• Media-Architecture Rome Forum, 22–27 June, British School at Rome (a retreat combining all three through the lens of the city)
