The practice of AA Lecturer David Kohn has been shortlisted for the 2023 RIBA House of the Year award

The project Cowshed, by David Kohn Architects has been shortlisted for the 2023 RIBA House of the Year award. Cowshed is the conversion of a 1970s agricultural barn into an artist’s studio, office and home in rural Devon, south west England.

The project is an exemplar of reuse with all of the elements of an expedient 50 year old structure redeployed in the new building. The RIBA released a short film about the project which can be viewed here and an appraisal has been published in the RIBA Journal, which can be read here.
