Admin History: The recording is of the 4th lecture in the series entitled 'The Scape', given by Mark Cousins as part of the AA General Studies programme, 2004-2005. In this lecture, Mark Cousins discusses 'the dream' in relation to his conception of 'the scape'. Cousins argues that 'the scap'e is averse to literary and pictorial means of description and that interpretation of 'the dream' cannot be considered part of hermeneutics. These points are elaborated upon, with reference to the writings of Sigmund Freud.
Custodial History: Original recording (format unknown) was made by the AA Audio Visual Department and a digital copy (.wma format) has been retained on the department's servers since c2013.
