Admin History: The recording is of the 3rd lecture in the series entitled 'The Scape', given by Mark Cousins as part of the AA General Studies programme, 2004-2005. In this lecture, Mark Cousins continues to develop his idea of 'the scape'. He discusses this concept in relation to landscape and makes a parallel with Foucault's notion of 'episteme'. He then debates whether 'the scape' must be artificial and whether or not landscape is a man-made artifice that works upon nature.
