Admin History: The lecture was part of the AA Graduate School /History and Theory Programme series, 'Influential Philosophies'. In this lecture, Mark Cousins summarises three main issues within Marxist discourse. First, the ontological issue of labour as the central concept to define society in Das Kapital. Secondly, the Marxist claim of their argument as scientificity while attacking other arguments as mere ideology. And thirdly, Marxist's political vision of negating Capitalism by Communism, which however never clearly described the possible future of that society.
