Admin History: The recording is of the 5th lecture in the series entitled 'The Poetics of Cliche', given by Mark Cousins as part of the AA Open Lecture series, 2011-2012. In this lecture, Mark Cousins looks into ways in which the subject is captured in the imaginary and how concepts materialize themselves. Attention is paid to notions of the ubiquitous and the generic, their relation to reproduction and mass production and ultimately clich.
