Admin History: The recording is of the 2nd lecture in the series entitled 'Distructure', given by Mark Cousins as part of the AA Open Lecture series, 2008-2009. In this lecture, Mark Cousins examines the biblical story of 'Sodom and Gomorrah' (Genesis 19:24) and describes and analyses the narrative of God's destruction of it by fire. Cousins then invites us to consider different perspectives, including both the Christian and Jewish traditions, and to re-read its destruction.
Custodial History: Original recording (format unknown) was made by the AA Audio Visual Department and a digital copy (.iso format) has been retained on the department's servers since c2013.
