Admin History: The recording is of the 4th lecture in the series entitled 'Distructure', given by Mark Cousins as part of the AA Open Lecture series, 2008-2009. In this lecture, Mark Cousins focuses on the relationship between the destruction of Rome and Saint Augustine's articulation of the City of God. Cousins questions the nature of the stories of the destruction of the city, and analyses different arguments given for the cause of the fall of the Roman Empire.
