Comprises video recording of an untitled paper given by Mark Cousins on the 13th March, 1999, as part of a two-day conference 'London Post-Colonial City' held at the AA. The conference took place in the Main Lecture Hall, Bedford Square. The recordings consist of a digital preservation copy (2.14 GB, .MPG format) and a digital access copy (1.27 GB, .MP4 format).

Admin History: The lecture was part of a two-day conference entitled 'London Post-Colonial City' organised by the AA and held on the 12-13th March, 1999. Speakers included Stuart Hall, Michael Hibbert, Paul Hirst, Isaac Julien, Michael Keith, Linton Kwesi Johnson, Doreen Lawrence, Neville Lawrence, Lesley Lohko, Colin MacCabe, Mohsen Mostafavi, Roland Muldoon, Laura Mulvey, Claudia Roden, Salmon Rushdie and Catherine Yass. In this lecture, Mark Cousins comments on the photographic works submitted for the exhibition, which accompanied the conference. He also raises the questions of peace, pleasure and death in the city.
Custodial History: The recording was made by the AA Audio Visual Department and retained by the AA Photo Library until 2019, when it was transferred to the AA Archives.
Aquisition: The recording was transferred from the AA Photo Libary to the AA Archives in 2019. Digital preservation and access copies were created by the AA Archives in 2021.
