Admin History: The recording is of the 7th lecture in the series entitled 'The Scape', given by Mark Cousins as part of the AA General Studies programme, 2004-2005. In this lecture, Mark Cousins further expands on the need to reformulate the aesthetics through the lens of 'the scape' as opposed to its traditional definition in relation to the object. How does the cultural background influence a reception of a work of art? Does the object come with an affect?
