Admin History: The recording is of the 5th lecture in the series entitled 'Pain of Time Past', given by Mark Cousins as part of the AA General Studies programme, 2005-2006. This lecture looks into the 'lost object' within the economy of desire; the lure of the 'lost object'; theology and the 'lost object'; the capacity to survive in relation to the proximity of Kantian sublime object; and the division between the aesthetic and 'the lost' in art objects.
Custodial History: Original recording (format unknown) was made by the AA Audio Visual Department and a digital copy (.wma format) has been retained on the department's servers since c2013.
