Admin History: The recording is of the 2nd lecture in the series entitled 'Where is Everyday Life?', given by Mark Cousins as part of the AA Open Lecture series, 2012-2013. In this lecture, Mark Cousins continues his investigation of the term 'everyday life.' He proposes that the term is a category that is located in the urban life of the city, tracing its origins back to the start of the nineteenth century. Cousins draws attention to Freud's psychopathological theory to explore the term and observes that 'everyday life' can be understood as a zone of mistakes, slips of the tongue or slips of action, of parapraxis.
Custodial History: Original recording (format unknown) was made by the AA Audio Visual Department and a digital copy (.iso format) has been retained on the department's servers since c2013.
