Admin History: The recording is of the 3rd lecture in the series entitled 'The Gest[ure]', given by Mark Cousins as part of the AA Open Lecture series, 2014-2015. In this lecture, Mark Cousins talks about the rationality of reflection and about gesture as movement of a transindividual kind. He discusses relationship between rest and movement and delves in the meaning and significance of a cultural sense of movement, the 'interior eye' and the experience of seeing and being seen.
Custodial History: Original recording (format unknown) was made by the AA Audio Visual Department and a digital copy (.iso format) has been retained on the department's servers since c2014.
