Admin History: The recording is of the 3rd lecture in the series entitled 'Pain of Time Past', given by Mark Cousins as part of the AA General Studies programme, 2005-2006. In this lecture, Mark Cousins looks into several questions including; 'what is the fate of desire?'; what is the relationship between the lost object and art?; how is the domain of the lost object rendered by the Freudian pleasure principle?

Custodial History: Original recording (format unknown) was made by the AA Audio Visual Department and a digital copy (.wma format) has been retained on the department's servers since c2013.
