Admin History: The recording is of the 1st lecture in the series entitled 'The Gest[ure]', given by Mark Cousins as part of the AA Open Lecture series, 2014-2015. In this lecture, Mark Cousins introduces the difficulty of grasping the notion of 'the gesture' when using categories of everyday life. He goes on to examine notions of the 'unfound object', angels as God's media system and the idea of communication itself.
Custodial History: Original recording (format unknown) was made by the AA Audio Visual Department and a digital copy (.iso format) has been retained on the department's servers since c2014.
