Admin History: The recording is of the 7th lecture in the series entitled 'Pain of Time Past', given by Mark Cousins as part of the AA General Studies programme, 2005-2006. In this lecture, Mark Cousins looks into the super ego and its relation to guilt and punishment. Specific attention is given to negotiation (about 'the lost object') as an overlooked subject in philosophy. The questions of the origins of good and evil, and nature of racism are also explored.
Custodial History: Original recording (format unknown) was made by the AA Audio Visual Department and a digital copy (.wma format) has been retained on the department's servers since c2013.
