Admin History: The recording is of the 6th lecture in the series entitled 'Technology and the First Person Singular', given by Mark Cousins as part of the AA Open Lecture series, 2010-2011. In this lecture, Mark Cousins develops a general account of the relationship between sense experience and technology. He questions Man's proposition as the measure of all things within the creative world, placing himself in the epicentre like a god. He reflects upon the human comparison with God as a narcissistic projection and that the computer will never equal the mind because it is incapable of making mistakes.
Custodial History: Original recording (format unknown) was made by the AA Audio Visual Department and a digital copy (.iso format) has been retained on the department's servers since c2013.
