Admin History: The recording is of the 7th lecture in the series entitled 'Miraclesr', given by Mark Cousins as part of the AA Open Lecture series, 2016-2017. In this last lecture of the series, Mark Cousins relates 'the miracle' to 'hope', drawing on the writings of Immanuel Kant and David Hume. Cousins addresses the question of the existence of (a) God, summarising Christian 'hope' as the 'internal skin of existence'. Cousins proposes that 'hope' is best understood through the works of the playwright, Samuel Beckett
