From the TV-AM Studios and Fenchurch Street Bank of the early 1980s to the recent International Centre for Life in Newcastle, Terry Farrell has retained a distinctive and colourful architectural vocabulary. In this lecture Farrell discusses his experiences in ten very different cities, ranging from Beijing to Sydney, Seattle to Edinburgh, and offers observations on how different cultures approach city-making and how architecture can grow from urban form.
