In 1991 Richard Deacon was invited to produce an exhibition for two museums in Krefeld, Germany. Fabricated for an outside site, Building From the Outside 1992 represents Deacon's continued preoccupation with issues of outside/inside explored during the previous year. Taking the view that 'sculpture is an autonomous form in space', Richard Deacon places this significant project in context, exposing its underlying structure and discussing related work.NB: Details of projected maps and drawings are unclear. Lecture ends abruptly during Q & A (in which questions from the audience are inaudible).
