Please note: This event is in Montréal, Canada
The CCA hosts a second afternoon of discussion on the work of Cedric Price. As Price’s archive is one of the most consulted at the CCA, we have invited scholars, mostly from North America, to present their individual motivations and methodologies for researching the architect’s key projects. (A first conversationwith European scholars took place in Lisbon in the fall.)
With the participation of Samantha Hardingham, Whitney Moon, Molly Wright Steenson, Kathy Velikov, and Mark Wigley.
The event is followed by the opening of the exhibition What About Happiness on the Building Site? in the Octagonal gallery, which features Price’s McAppy Report. It also coincides with a launch of the book Cedric Price Works 1952–2003: A Forward-Minded Retrospective, co-published in October 2016 by the Architectural Association and the CCA.
Admission is free, but registration is encouraged because seating is limited. To register, please contact Christine Dalle-Vedove at cdvedove@cca.qc.ca.
