Storytelling through drawing and designing?
Join us at the AA on Saturday 18 February for a free one-day workshop for year 10 and 11 students from under-represented backgrounds who are interested in exploring a career in architecture or engineering.
The workshop includes one full day of skills-based exercises, informative discussions and building tours with professional practitioners and special guests.
This exciting and interactive workshop asks you to explore themes of fiction and storytelling in architecture through the current exhibition at the AA: As Hardly Found in the Art of Tropical Architecture, curated by Albert Brenchat-Aguilar. The workshop will ask participants to respond creatively through drawings and design to the task of filling gaps within architectural collections such as libraries and archives, and will introduce the facilities and expertise of the school.
Details: Saturday 18 February, Architectural Association, 36 Bedford Square, London, 10am–4pm. For more information or to apply, fill out the application form or email siraaj@open-city.org.uk.
A further workshop will take place on Saturday 6 May. More details to follow.
