In the early 1980s Ross Lovegrove worked as a designer for Frog Design in West Germany on projects such as Sony Walkmans and Apple Computers. Since returning to London in 1986 he has completed projects for, among others, Airbus Industries, Kartell, Ceccotti, Cappellini, Idee, Moroso, Luceplan, Driade, Peugeot, Apple Computers, Issey Miyake, Vitra, Olympus Cameras, Yamagiwa Corporation, Artemide, Tag Heuer, Hackman, Alias, Knoll, Herman Miller and Japan Airlines. Lovegrove has collaborated on projects with architects including Toyo Ito and Tadao Ando. Winner of numerous awards, his work has been extensively published and exhibited internationally at the Guggenheim Museum in New York, Axis Centre Japan, Pompidou Centre in Paris and the Design Museum in London, among other places. His work is held in collections of design museums around the world, including the Museum of Modern Art in New York, the Design Museum in London and the Vitra Design Museum in Weil am Rhein. He received the Royal Designer for Industry Award from the Royal Society of Arts in 2004 and the World Technology Award for 2005 from Time and CNN.
