Join us for the book launch of Design Technology in Contemporary Architectural Practice by Dominik Holzer
Design Technology in Contemporary Architectural Practice lifts the curtain to unveil how eleven world-leading design studios integrate technology (such as Computational Design, VR/AR, BIM, and Digital Fabrication) as part of their day-to-day design exploration and delivery. Via first-hand accounts, the book offers rare insights about how these firms apply technology to purposefully disrupt and support their creative design processes in order to then explore how technology can be integrated on an organisational level. In the book, the author contextualises the use of Design Technology more broadly, thereby also focusing on cultural and organisational challenges and opportunities.
Dr Dominik Holzer is Senior Lecturer in Digital Architecture at the University of Melbourne. He is a leading BIM expert, consulting with design and construction firms in Australia. Dominik frequently publishes on Design Technology and he currently authors the BIM column in Australia’s FM Magazine.
We are delighted to welcome Dominik to the AA Bookshop to celebrate the launch of his new publication, with a drinks reception to follow.
The book will be sold at the special price of £25 on the evening. (RRP £30)
