
Foster + partners are known for their innovative use of technology and pushing the limits of what is possible in architecture engineering. The lecture will focus on recent work from the applied research and development group (ARD) at Foster + partners. The group is focused on pursuing state of the art research in different fields from complex geometry to machine learning, and applying its findings to real world design problems.
Khaled El Ashry is currently part of the ARD group at Foster + Partners in addition to tutoring at the Bartlett School of architecture. His recent work bridges the gap between Architecture and Computer science with expertise in optimization, robotics and virtual reality. He recently worked on multiple state of the art architecture projects like the UAE Mobility Pavilion.
