Little Architect is a programme that aspires to give children from the ages of 5 to 16 years the agency to engage with architecture and design in the world today. Children are introduced to the role of architecture in both urban and rural environments and through the programme are invited to imagine ways that architecture can build alternative worlds. Little Architect workshops aim to educate young children about architecture and to provide access to a productive conversation around design culture early on. The goal is not to produce more architects but to educate children early about sustainability, the climate, and ethics through the lens of architecture.
At this Little Architect event, a number of children's workshops will take place during the course of the day for different age groups (5-6, 7-9, 10-12, 13-16), as well as an informational session which parents, teachers, educational professionals, with or without children, are invited to attend.
