A tour of the Momentum of Light exhibition with Iwan Baan for AA Members
After two years of remote events, the Architectural Association are thrilled to invite London-based AA members to come together in-person for a tour of Momentum of Light, an exhibition of photography by Iwan Baan in collaboration with Francis Kéré, at 11am on Saturday 12 March. The exhibition presents a selection of photographs which capture the stark qualities of light in sub-Saharan Africa and how it passes through traditional Burkinabe building typologies, shaping daily routines and ways of life. Join a small group of AA members for an exclusive opportunity to be led through the exhibition and to discuss the images on display with Dutch photographer Iwan Baan. The event will take place at at our new residency in the former Habitat showrooms on Tottenham Court Road, where a light continental brunch will also be provided. As numbers are limited and available on a first-come-first-serve basis, booking is essential. We ask that attendees take a lateral flow test before attending the event and that if you are showing any signs or symptoms of Covid-19 that you do not attend. The use of masks also remains mandatory at the AA. As numbers are limited, please only book if you know you can attend – we look forward to seeing you then.
