Enric Ruiz-Geli's work encompasses a number of artistic disciplines, from scenography and the visual arts to his recent curatorial role for the Sao Paulo architectural biennale. In recent years his research has become more centralised within the Cloud 9 architectural laboratory which he directs. Collaborative projects produced through Cloud 9 typically synthesise naturalistic ideas with high-technology, and include Villa Nurbs; Mediatic; the Thirst Pavilion at the Saragossa Expo; Once a Wave in San Sebastian; and the project with Frei Otto for the New York Aquarium in Coney Island.
