San Salvatore Book Launch

Join us for the launch of San Salvatore: House Pool Landscape by Pierre d’Avoine

San Salvatore in Montione, Umbria, Italy is a house, pool and landscape designed by Pierre d’Avoine Architects and realised over a seven year period from 2010 to 2016.

The project includes the alteration and extension of a group of buildings, including a chapel, into a summer residence. The site is located in a wooded landscape on the eastern edge of the Umbrian mountains with panoramic views over the Tiber valley.

The book is a record of the project, photographed by David Grandorge and includes essays by Peder Duelund Mortensen (Emeritus Professor, Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts School of Architecture Copenhagen) and Pierre d’Avoine. It also includes a site diary and reflection by AA graduate and project architect Kuo Jze Yi.

AA Director Ingrid Schroder will introduce Pierre d’Avoine and David Grandorge at an event at the AA Bookshop to celebrate the launch of this new publication with a drinks reception to follow.
