Experimental Methods is a four-day symposium during Open Week in Terms 1 and 2. The symposium invites academic staff to present, discuss and debate their methodologies within their individual practice and how this is reflected in their teaching. Groups of tutors will make 30 minute presentations about their research methods, pedagogical models and practice followed by roundtable discussions to elaborate on certain themes and spark debate. Each day of the symposium will close with a keynote by an influential figure within architecture or its related disciplines who will draw together the strands of discussion from the day and speak about how these themes are reflected in their own research, work and/or practice.
