
James Chung is an architect and educator, and the founder of the design and research studio Therapeutic Forms and Practices. His work examines architectural typologies of healing within a paradigmatic framework bridging design, research and practice. Alongside his teaching at the AA, he teaches on MArch programmes at the University of Cambridge, the Bartlett School of Architecture (UCL) and the Royal College of Art, and is an external examiner at the Korea National University of Arts. His project Un(Faithful) Seouls was presented at the Seoul Architecture Biennale in 2021, and Medicinal Architecture was exhibited at the Hyundai ZER01NE platform in 2022. Most recently, he worked as a design and research consultant on the Bridge Project at Do Ho Suh Studio (2024–25).
