Jorge is a sociologist and urban planner. He is a senior lecturer and a head of the Housing and Urbanism programme at the AA, and an associate professor at the Development Planning Unit, UCL. He has worked in institutions in Chile, Brazil and England, is a visiting lecturer at several Latin American and European universities, and is a consultant to several urban development agencies. He researches housing and urban development, focusing on the interplay of spatial strategies and urban social policy.
