Major British architectural practice formed in London, in 1949, by Architectural Association graduates, James W.A. Cubitt, Thomas W. Fello Atkinson, Stefan Buzas and Richard M. Maitland. During the 1950s the practice also set up branches in Nigeria, Ghana, Burma, Libya and Malaysia. Amongst their built works are a number of schools and university buildings, including Churchill College, Cambridge (1959) and the redevelopment of the University of Nigeria's Nsukka Campus (1971. In 1967 the firm renamed itself as 'James Cubitt Fello Atkinson & Partners' and is currently known as the 'James Cubitt Group.'
