Becoming a Member of the AA invites you to be part of an inspiring and dynamic community of professionals, alumni, researchers, students and academics. The strength, diversity and independence of the school is reliant on the global network of over 8000 Members who formally constitute the Architectural Association. Membership options are tailored to meet different needs.

Alumni membership is free

The AA is committed to keeping in touch with former students. All Alumni can access alumni groups and events, career development and networking opportunities, a subscription to AArchitecture, and access to an online register of alumni. As alumni, you also have the option to continue or re-instate your full membership, in order to access the full range of benefits and further support the work of the school.

Membership is open to all

Membership of the AA is open to anyone interested in the work of the AA. Individuals can join as full Members to access facilities and events at the AA or as Digital Members to access online resources from anywhere in the world. Researchers can access AA Collections with a two week Researcher Pass.

Members and Alumni Directory

Connecting with the community of Architectural Association members and alumni using the Directory is one of the greatest benefits of AA Membership. It allows individuals to search for and contact fellow students, alumni and colleagues; to form networks and communities through the discovery of mutual interests; and to extend their sphere of contact laterally, globally and virtually.

Contributing Your Time

Those wishing to contribute their time to the school can: become a mentor to a current student or recent graduate; become an ambassador for the AA by helping us to attract the best students from around the world; or establish and run a local a local alumni group. The benefits of such contributions are tangible, personal and immediate; they directly empower individuals and the wider school community to realise their potential and help to continually introduce new and fresh insights into the institution as it continues to evolve.
