AA alum Caterina Miralles and Jack Isles will exhibit the project 0.5 at the 2025 Venice Architecture Biennale and is one of the eight winning proposals selected for the Biennale College Architettura 2025.

0.5 is an audiovisual installation exploring the contrasting roles of technological and collective intelligence in preserving La Laguna di Venezia. The work bridges the analytical methods of climatological research centres with the intergenerational knowledge of the lagoon’s fishing communities, critically examining this fragile and ever-changing ecosystem shaped by human intervention.

The piece blends Miralles’ film making practice with data visualisations by Isles and Zac Ionidis, highlighting the complex interplay between natural and artificial forms of intelligence across the lagoon.
