AA alumna Hannah Durham has been announced as a RIBA Journal Rising Star 2021. The annual competition aims to reward and highlight those who have made significant and groundbreaking achievements in the early part of their careers.

One noteworthy piece of work was Durham’s oral history project for the AA XX 100 programme, which celebrated 13 female architects’ life stories for the AA Archives.

Durham explains, ‘These female architects' stories weren't heard, or if they were, it was through their husbands or ex partners. But they should be embedded into our collective history.’
